To remove fine ferrous particle from
ceramic slips and glazes different types of powerful magnetic separators
are used. These magnetic separators are equipped with powerful rare
earth or ferrite magnets that are capable of removing even the minutest
possible tramp iron.
Different types of magnetic separators like drum separators, plate
magnets , suspended magnets etc. are used for separating small powdery
substance from magnetic fines. Ferrous fines when enter into the
magnetic fields of the separator gets attracted towards the magnets and
the purified materials are collected separately.
Configuration of different magnetic separators are different though
their functions are same. Suspended magnets are installed above the
conveyors whereas plate magnets are installed within a chute or over a
conveyor.
