Magnetic belt conveyors are important magnetic product that provides
holding action for vertical, inclined or horizontal material handling
for conveying, automation and part handling applications. Magnetic
conveyors are created by placing permanent ceramic rare earth magnets in
the bed of a standard conveyor.Types
Magnetic conveyors are of different types depending upon the application and configurations. The important types of magnetic conveyors used are as follows:
- Beltless Magnetic Conveyors
The design of beltless magnetic conveyors are meant for providing positive control of ferrous metal materials. They are available in various forms and configurations. Below a non-magnetic stainless
steel slider bed, permanent magnets are conveyed to move and convey ferrous metal objects. The sealed conveyor housing can be completely submerged in machine reservoir tanks and the internal self-adjusting take up system, which eliminates the need for maintenance.Buying Tips
Magnetic conveyor should be selected before assessing the requirement. Buyer should select the conveyor by keeping in mind the nature of the materials he has to handle. The width and magnets used in the magnetic conveyor should be judged properly. The material leakage possibility should be keenly observed. The cleaning system of the conveyor should also be taken into consideration.
- Magnetic Belt Conveyors
Magnetic belt conveyors effectively convey the ferrous objects on high speed horizontal and inclined to vertical conveyor belts. Below the conveying belt there is a permanent or electromagnetic rail which attracts the ferrous objects to the belt. This magnetic attraction acts as a clamping force against the conveyor. This cause the ferrous objects to move with the belt and able to overcome any angle of incline or decline. Conveyors are available with different belt width.
